I-9 EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION

Modern Notary Services, LLC helps many out-of-state companies verify new employees working in Tennessee. Employee verification is an essential procedure for any business, especially with the growing trend of hiring remote employees. The federal government audits businesses to see that they comply with a requirement to complete USCIS Form I-9 on every employee. As a result, employers ask new hires to find a notary service, such as Modern Notary Services, LLC, to help complete these employment forms accurately.

Modern Notary Services, LLC serves as an "Authorized Representative" of your company to complete I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) forms legally and without errors.  For proper I-9 form verification, section 1 should be completed by the employee before the meeting.  Notary completes section 2 and personally reviews the identification documents. Note:  If the employee is not able to complete section 1, no problem, we can complete it and we then complete the preparer or translator certification.

Please remember that the identification provided by your employee must be original documents.  The list of acceptable documents are included on the I-9 instructions in lists A, B, and C.  The employee can choose from these lists.
